Retirement Living at The Old Prebendal House
Retirement can offer more freedom to enjoy life at a gentler pace with more time to focus on hobbies, routines, social opportunities and well-being. Retirement living is the perfect way to maintain independence while still benefiting from reassurance and support nearby if needed.
The Old Prebendal Court is part of the wider Old Prebendal Estate in the heart of the Cotswolds. It offers charm and character of the surroundings, allowing residents to enjoy independent living whilst remaining connected to a supportive community. Understanding the benefits of retirement living can help people plan positively and confidently for the future.

What is Retirement Living?
Retirement living offers independent accommodation within a supportive community environment where residents can maintain their own routines, lifestyle and independence whilst living within a community of like-minded people.
Retirement living can reduce the pressures and responsibilities associated with maintaining a larger home, and support and care options are nearby if circumstances change in the future. Retirement living allows people to remain independent whilst planning ahead with confidence and is suitable for both individuals and couples.
Who is Dementia Care for?
Dementia care is any individual who is living with dementia and is designed to support people at any stage of dementia, including: Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, as well as other forms of cognitive decline.
Our dementia care doesn’t just provide benefits to the person living with the disease but also to their families and caregivers. Briardene’s dementia care provides peace of mind to families by ensuring loved ones receive the expert support they need in a compassionate and comfortable environment. We also offer respite to caregivers who may need assistance in managing the many challenges that arise when caring for someone with dementia.
As specialist dementia care home we offer secure, calming environments designed to reduce confusion, prevent wandering, and support daily routines with dignity and respect. Our care is provided by trained professionals who understand cognitive decline, using personalised care plans, therapies, and activities to enhance well-being and maintain as much independence as possible.
