Sovereign Court is a high-quality care provision based in Westerhope, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with excellent links to travel and local amenities.
There is a small shopping centre to the rear of Sovereign Court which gives us access to a post office and general stores, a chemist, a hairdresser and fish and chip shop. We are also a short walk from Westerhope’s main high street which offers a variety of shops, supermarkets, takeaways and cafes.
Sovereign Court
Sovereign Court is a 12 bedded specialist service providing care and support for people that have mental health needs. Carefully vetted, highly trained and skilled staff are selected. We promote individualised person-centred care in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Encouraging independence, choice and dignity throughout all that we do. We have a variety of entertainment on each month. The residents enjoy going out into the community on a regular basis for meals, cinema, bowling and shopping at both Newcastle city centre and the metro centre. Some of our residents enjoy taking part at local day centres.
Sovereign Court
Dining is a big part of life here at Sovereign Court. All meals are prepared fresh on the day by our dedicated staffing team. We have a four-week set menu, however if you aren’t keen on the choices that day, alternatives are available. Our menus are reviewed regularly. Mealtimes are a focal part of any day and nutritional well-being is vital to maintaining a healthy mind and body. Times are as follows: Breakfast from 0800, Lunch from 1230 and dinner from 1630.
MANAGER
Our Registered Home Manager is Anna Tait. Anna has over 20 years’ experience in the care sector, working in all different fields of care. Anna believes Sovereign Court is a fantastic place to work with its warm, friendly atmosphere, and its highly experienced, caring, friendly and welcoming staff. Anna encourages residents to be out in the community as much as possible, enabling them to fulfill goals and maintain their independence. Anna encourages family and friends to visit and participate in any activities happening at the home, and operates an open-door policy, so feel free to approach her and air any concerns or queries you may have.
