Ensure the condition of the building is maintained to a high standard.
Liaise with the Home Manager and Senior Manager – Estates, regarding internal maintenance work and external contractor planned, reactive and emergency tasks.
Complete basic health and safety, fire, electrical and appliance checks, reporting all faults.
Carry out any small-scale decoration of bedrooms and some common areas, when required, in order to maintain a high standard in the home.
Request emergency calls and / or call outs and pass information via the simple to use estates management software known as Access Maintain (training provided).
Perform regular maintenance checks and jobs that require attention – to be logged in iAuditor, Access Maintain or the maintenance book.
Keep appropriate stock of replacement items such as light bulbs etc and ensure stored securely.
Understand and ensure the implementation of the Home’s Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures and promote safe working practices.
Able to multi-task and work well under pressure and use own initiative to solve problems and take pride in your work and committed to maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for our residents.
Report to the Home Manager any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by anyone in the home.
Able to build good relationships with residents, colleagues and contractors.
